According to her website:

Ashley Wang is a recent graduate from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelors of Music under Grammy-winner Professor Bion Tsang. She started her cello studies at age 8 with Eleonora Lopez, and later her husband, Emmanuel Lopez of the internationally-renowned Harrington String Quartet when she started high school. In addition to cello, she has been studying piano since she was four and a half years old from Dr. Sarah Kemmerling.

The Program

The first chapter was established in NYC and held its first event, a concert at a nursing home and rehabilitation center, in December 2019. After the initial success of this event, United Under Arts expanded to create other events like arts and crafts classes and music exposure workshops and run donation drives to collect arts supplies and devices for underprivileged communities.

As of summer 2020, UUA has established seven chapters in Asia, two in Europe, two in Canada and 22 in the United States.

Scholastic Art & Writing Awards

The Program

Through the Scholastic Awards, teens in grades 7–12 (ages 13 and up) from public, private, or home schools can apply in 29 categories of art and writing for their chance to earn scholarships and have their works exhibited and published. Beyond the Awards, the Alliance for Young Artists & Writers produces a number of programs to support creative students and their educators, including the Art.Write.Now.Tour, the National Student Poets Program, the Scholastic Awards Summer Workshops and Scholastic Awards Summer Scholarships programs, the GOLDEN Educators Residency, and much more.
